Breaking Barriers and Advocating for Change

Dilan Polat, a young activist from Turkey, has dedicated her life to fighting for justice and equality. Her unwavering determination and passion for human rights have made her a powerful voice for the marginalized and oppressed.

Raised in a conservative society, Dilan witnessed firsthand the discrimination and inequality faced by many individuals. Inspired by her own experiences, she became an outspoken advocate for women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and social justice.

Empowering Youth and Marginalized Communities

Youth Empowerment

Dilan recognized the importance of empowering young people as agents of change. She founded the Dilberler Association, a youth-led organization that provides educational opportunities, leadership training, and a platform for youth activism.

Through Dilberler, Dilan has trained thousands of young activists, equipping them with the skills and confidence to advocate for their communities. She believes that by investing in youth, we create a brighter future for all.

Supporting LGBTQ+ Rights

Dilan has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Turkey, where homosexuality is still criminalized. She co-founded the Istanbul Pride Organization, which organizes the annual Istanbul Pride March and provides support and resources to the LGBTQ+ community.

Despite facing threats and persecution for her activism, Dilan remains undeterred. She believes that everyone deserves to live a life free from discrimination and prejudice.

Promoting Social Justice

Dilan's activism extends beyond LGBTQ+ rights to encompass broader social justice issues. She is a member of the Solidarity for Social Transformation and has campaigned for workers' rights, environmental protection, and gender equality.

Through her activism, Dilan has raised awareness about critical social issues, challenged unjust laws, and advocated for a more equitable society for all.
