Commission on Presidential Debates Announces Dates and Locations

First Debate to be Held on June 27 in Atlanta

WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have agreed to two presidential debates in the 2024 election. The debates will be held on June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia, and October 15 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The debates will be moderated by CNN and C-SPAN, respectively.

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) announced the dates and locations of the debates on Wednesday. The CPD is a non-partisan organization that has sponsored and organized presidential debates since 1988.

The first debate will focus on domestic policy issues, while the second debate will focus on foreign policy issues. Both debates will be held in prime time and will be broadcast live on television and radio.

The CPD has not yet announced the moderators for the debates. However, the organization has said that it will select moderators who are "fair, impartial, and experienced." The CPD has also said that it will work to ensure that the debates are "informative and engaging."
