Pittsburgh Steelers Star Linebacker Tj Watt Suffered A Sprained Mcl In The Teams 17 10 Win Over The Baltimore Ravens On Saturday

TJ Watt Injury Update: Steelers Linebacker Suffers MCL Sprain

Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker TJ Watt suffered a sprained MCL in the team's 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.

Watt underwent an MRI on Sunday, which confirmed the sprain. He is expected to miss several weeks of action, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The loss of Watt is a major blow to the Steelers defense. The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. He had 1.5 sacks and five tackles in the win over the Ravens.

The Steelers will have to rely on other players to step up in Watt's absence. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith is expected to take over as the team's primary pass rusher. Highsmith had two sacks and three tackles in the win over the Ravens.

The Steelers are also expected to sign a veteran outside linebacker to help replace Watt. The team has been linked to several free agents, including Melvin Ingram and Justin Houston.
